PHOTOREJUVENATION

NON-ABLATIVE FRACTIONAL LASER

Technological development has contributed significantly to aesthetic medicine, allowing the incorporation of new techniques that today have become indispensable for any patient who wants to rejuvenate. With regard to rejuvenation, lasers initially gave the patient some reluctance for his long period of convalescence after treatment that prevented him from adapting immediately to daily tasks, requiring between 5 and 7 days of convalescence.

At the Dr. Costa Santiago International Clinic we opted for a new and advanced non-ablative fractional technology that consists of causing the selective heating of the dermal tissue through micro-beams of light. Depending on the degree of aging and the depth of the wrinkles, we use the most appropriate power to obtain an ideal result without a period of convalescence.

After performing the procedure, we can expect an improvement in the appearance of the skin based on the considerable reduction of wrinkles, improvement of the firmness and luminosity of the skin due to the repair process that occurred in the dermis in just one pass of the laser.

What you need to know:

Using this technology we can treat the entire surface of the face or select the areas with the greatest impact of signs of aging, such as the perioral region (barcode) or the periocular region (crow's feet).

Basically, the technique consists of causing small lesions on the skin, so that it understands that it has to regenerate and recover the altered tissue, giving rise to the formation of a new and healthy tissue responsible for the rejuvenating effect in the treated area. We explain by way of a clear example, if we make a small cut, our body is responsible for its repair and in a few days there will be no traces of it. Well, through this procedure, what we seek is to activate that same repair mechanism responsible for the formation of new collagen with which we will have a more rejuvenated appearance of the face and a reduction in the depth of wrinkles.

It takes 1 to 3 sessions to get the results, the softer the degree of aging, the less sessions we will need and vice versa.

The procedure takes no more than 45-60 minutes and at home we will have to perform basic cosmetic care after treatment, in addition to the relevant reviews in the clinic.

Pulsed light treatments should cover the entire surface of the face, although we can make a second pass over specific areas where we need to insist especially, such as areas of dark or reddish pigmentation.

Basically, the technique consists in the application of a specific light system on the skin that will correct the pathologies derived from the aging of the skin due to the action of ultraviolet radiation, pigmentations, redness, wrinkles, etc.

We need 1 to 6 sessions of 30 to 45 minutes each to see the results, although the number of sessions depends on the degree of aging.

Cosmetic care and post-treatment medical examinations are required at the clinic.

Both fractional laser and pulsed light allow us to treat other pathologies besides aging, including:

  • Improved skin firmness.

  • Acne.

  • Stretch marks.

  • Scars.

  • Wrinkles
